I used "strip-away" alkaline paint stipper which did a fantastic job stipping the four coats of paint but then wouldn't stop. It kept bleeding through the primer and dripping brown gunk down the front of the door. I also had to do a bunch of work to get the lock to close correctly; another Frank McDonald hack job. ~~get rid of cinder blocks, etc. took them to a place on the road to Costco, on the left, they charged $5 to take them.~~ ~~outside hose faucet is shot - leaks~~ ~~re-hang shelves in upstairs bath~~
