(back to GnuLinuxIntro)
This week's class introduces the students to the GNU/Linux filesystem, command-line tools, and graphical tools.
This intro to Linux looks quite good, we can use the filesystem and shell parts at least:

- linux.txt: linux "cheat sheet" provided by Forrest
Notes from the class:
- always explain first how to get out (editors), how to get up/back (fs navigation), etc. In other words, give the students the keys to getting back to a known place in case they get lost, or stuck in an editor.
-
pico
is a nice, user-friendly editor. It's modeless, and uses emacs key bindings, but keeps a list of options at the bottom of the screen.
