Another year, another apalling combination of greed and lack of imagination...

   * <strike>an outdoor floodlight fixture with a motion sensor attached.</strike>
   * Ducati <a href="http://www.ducati.com/bikes/mS4.jhtml">Monster S4</a> -<em>or</em>- Triumph <a href="http://www.triumph-motorcycles.ltd.uk/showroom/bike4.html">Speed Triple</a>.  Come on, folks, I've been asking for a new bike for years!
   * <strike>128MB memory (PC133) for this server.</strike>
   * <strike>a digital camera (small size is more important than high resolution)</strike>
   * books!
   * Inexpensive ubiquitous wireless internet access (_still_ looks like it will be a few more years before I get this).
   * last year I was hoping for one of the monster catamarans that were competing in The Race, but I didn't get one, so this year I'm setting my sights a little lower.  This year I want one of the "Open 60" catamarans such as http://www.madforsailing.com/SAIL/Articles.nsf/Lookup/F6EA1D18036818BE80256AFA00493DCD?opendocument&page=7

And of course, and _especially_ this year, __Peace on Earth and Goodwill towards men__ ...
